Coding Free-form Crochet

After completing the project for coding granny squares, I wanted to take the project further by applying it to free-form crochet and teaching it to others. 

 

Instead of using stitch symbols, this "code" uses shape symbols to represent free-form crochet elements that I found to be common among many pieces.

 

After doing some prototypes, I then designed a workbook to teach the code to other crocheters.
